DJ SWISHH – BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Booking Confirmation

To secure your event date, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit must be paid within 7 days of receiving your invoice, otherwise the date may be released for other bookings.

The remaining balance is due no later than one day before the event and must be paid via the secure online payment link provided. If the balance is not paid on time, DJ Swishh reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

2. Payment Methods

All payments must be made online using a credit card or Visa Debit. A secure payment link is provided in the invoice. Cash payments are not accepted.

3. Cancellation Policy

  1. If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before the event, any payments made will be refunded, excluding the deposit.

  2. If you cancel within 30 days of the event, the deposit is non-refundable.

  3. If you cancel within 7 days of the event, a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total booking fee will apply.

If DJ Swishh cancels due to unsafe outdoor conditions and no weatherproof cover is provided (see Section 4), the deposit will not be refunded.

4. Event Setup Requirements

The DJ setup area must be flat, covered, and weatherproof, with a minimum space of 3 metres by 2 metres. A reliable power outlet must be available at the exact location of the DJ setup.

If your event is outdoors, you must provide weather protection (e.g. marquee) or have a wet weather backup plan. If conditions are unsafe and no suitable cover is available, DJ Swishh reserves the right to cancel on the day without refund to protect equipment and safety.

5. Setup and Pack-Down

DJ Swishh will arrive in advance to set up. Setup typically takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the venue. Pack-down takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

If the DJ is not performing immediately, early access to the venue may be requested to allow time for setup before guests arrive.

6. Music Requests & Playlists

You’re welcome to send through a playlist to help guide the music vibe. This must be provided at least 30 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed. Highlight any must-play songs so we can prioritise them.

DJ Swishh will do their best to include your preferred tracks, but final selections may be adjusted on the night to suit the energy and crowd. Guests can make song requests during the event, but these are subject to DJ discretion and song availability.

7. Equipment and Packages

DJ Swishh provides all required sound and DJ equipment. Lighting and additional features are only included with certain packages. For example, the Dance All Night package includes full lighting, while the Essential Beats package does not.

If you need additional equipment or features, please discuss this with us prior to your event.

The client is responsible for ensuring guests respect the DJ setup. If equipment is damaged due to guest actions or venue conditions, the client may be required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.

8. Extra Time / Overtime

If you’d like to extend the DJ set on the night, this is subject to the DJ’s availability and approval. If approved, an additional fee of $90 per hour applies. Payment must be made immediately before the DJ continues playing.

9. Travel Fees

Additional travel fees may apply for events outside the Sunshine Coast. These will be discussed and agreed upon during the booking process.

10. Rescheduling & Government Restrictions

If your event cannot go ahead due to government restrictions (e.g. COVID-19), DJ Swishh will offer to reschedule your booking at no extra cost, subject to availability. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be offered.

11. Liability

DJ Swishh takes all reasonable steps to ensure a smooth and safe event, but is not responsible for any injuries, property damage, or losses that occur during the event. The client is responsible for guest safety, venue compliance, and event conduct.

12. Force Majeure

In the rare event of unforeseen circumstances beyond DJ Swishh’s control - such as extreme weather, serious illness, power failure, or government restrictions - DJ Swishh will notify you as soon as possible.

If no suitable replacement or solution can be arranged, a full refund will be offered. DJ Swishh is not liable for any additional costs arising from such cancellations.

13. Agreement Confirmation

By paying your invoice, you confirm your booking and agree to these terms. A link to these Booking Terms is included on every invoice and available at djswishh.com.au.
